Why go?

Northern Europe's largest gothic cathedral sits at the centre of the city's street plan, so you meet it by accident before you ever plan to. The nave is vast, the Great East Window is medieval glass on a scale that is difficult to take in, and the undercroft tells the Roman and Norman story underneath your feet.
